    Music Zoo MYC Program Rules and Regulations

    A. Conduct of Parents

    I understand that my parental involvement is key to my child’s success in MYC. As part of my important role, I agree to:
     
    1. Enthusiastically participate in class and assist my child during each lesson.

    2. Establish and maintain a practice routine for my child, assist my child with homework and participate in practice time.

    3. Frequently communicate with the Studio teacher about my child’s progress, and proactively seek her/ his assistance so we can work together to support my child’s learning.

    4. Arrive for class at least 5 minutes before start time and wash my child’s hands before class.

    5. Supervise my child at all times, tidy up the toys my child has used in the waiting area, and ensure there is no food, drinks, running or rough play in the studio or waiting area(s).

    6. Quietly remove my child from the lesson if his/her behavior is disruptive and return when he/she is ready.

    7. To be responsible for any damages caused to the Studio and equipment by my child.  I will bear the costs incurred to repair the damages.

    8. Notify the Studio of any absenteeism of my child and to pick up the required homework of next lesson.

    B. Fees

    1. All fees paid are not refundable or transferable.

    2. All fees must be settled TWO weeks prior to the following term, otherwise NO lesson and NO guarantee of the preferred lesson time slot will be given until the fees are paid in full.

    Sunrise 1,2,3 - payment due on every lesson 8 of the term.
    Sunshine/Sunbeams & Moonbeams - payment due on every lesson 7, 16, 25, 34

    3.     Late fee of $50 will be imposed if fees are not paid after the 1st lesson of the term.

    Example:
    Late fee will be imposed if payment is not received by:
    Sunrise 1,2,3 - by every lesson 1 of the term
    Sunshine/Sunbeams & Moonbeams - by every lesson 10,19,28.

    4. If not payment is received after lesson 2 of the term, the lesson will be considered as auto cancelled and your security deposit will be forfeited accordingly.

    5. Deposit Fee is payable upon enrolment.

    6. Deposit Fee will NOT be refunded if termination is prior to: (a) lesson 6 of Sunrise 3, (b) lesson 32 of each level of Sunshine/ Sunbeams/ Moonbeams. 

    7. No pro-rate is allowed for all fees.

    8. Fees are subject to change by the Studio with reasonable notice to students.

    C. Termination/ Suspension

    1. Students who wish to terminate classes permanently must complete the entire level and fees for the entire level must be paid in full, in order to be entitled to the refund of deposit upon giving a 4-LESSON-WEEKS advance written notice by filling out a Course Termination Form before the end of each level.

    MYC program level definition will be as follows:
    Sunrise (consist of Sunrise 1,2 & 3) - considered as 1 level
    Sunshine 1, Sunshine 2
    Sunbeams 1, Sunbeams 2, Sunbeams 3
    Moonbeams 1, Moonbeams 2, Moonbeams 3

    In order to receive your deposit refund, written notice must be given prior or by:
    1) Lesson 6 of Sunrise 3
    2) Lesson 32 of Sunshine/Sunbeams/Moonbeams

    2. All missed lessons will be charged and there will be no make up lessons shall students temporarily suspend classes and wish to rejoin the same class. 

    D. Class cancellation/ Replacement

    1. The Studio will schedule make-up classes at a time convenient for most students for any classes cancelled by the Studio due to unforeseen circumstances.
     
    2. All missed lessons will be charged and there will be no make up lessons shall students miss classes. 

    E.Others

    1. The Studio will not be responsible for any mishap during classes or in the Studio premises.

    2. You will consent that the Studio reserves all rights to pictures/video taken during classes for all its publicity and promotion.

    3. Students having influenza or other contagious diseases (like measles or chicken pox or hand foot mouth disease) are strongly advised not to attend lessons for the consideration of other students.  

    F. Management’s Discretion

    1. While every effort is made to avoid changes to classes, the Studio reserves the right to make changes to a room, teacher, date and time of any classes.  

    2. The Studio reserves the right to terminate, temporarily or permanently; any class as well as dismiss/ expel any student without stating the reason.

    3. The Studio reserves the right to amend or change the Rules and Regulations without prior notice.

    4. In any unforeseen circumstances, the Studio reserves the rights to combine/ transfer/ dissolve/ cancel a class, change teacher or date and time of any lessons.
