Little Scholars Math Terms and Conditions:
Learning fees
The learning fees, fee deposit and a one-time registration fee of $50 are to be fully paid upon registration.
A fee deposit is further defined here as a full-month learning fee. The deposit is refundable if a 4-week lesson advanced written notice for termination is given before the start of last month of the current term. For example, for Term 2 March- June period, notice for withdrawal/ termination for the new Term 3 must be given latest by the month of May.
Learning fees are due in advanced and must be paid 2 weeks before the new term starts. Late fee of $40 will automatically apply if fee is not paid before the first lesson of the new term.
There shall be no pro-rate of regular term fees, unless at point of enrolment.
Learning fees are to be paid quarterly every term. The duration of each term is 3 months. There is an average of 11 lessons per term and total 44 lessons per year according to the Little Scholar’s lesson calendar.
Term 1: January to March,
Term 2 April to June,
Term 3 July to September, and
Term 4 October to December.
6. If a student is absent for more than 3 months and/ or uncontactable, the deposit will be forfeited.
7. All fees paid are not refundable or transferable.

Fees are subject to change by the Studio with reasonable notice to students.
Classroom policy
Classes are conducted once a week, 1 hour each lesson, on a designated class day, according to our lesson calendar.
If a student is unable to attend class, parents should inform the Centre Manager or teacher at least one day in advanced.
By default, there is no replacement class for lessons missed. The provision of replacement of classes is subject to the discretion of the availability of classroom and Centre Manager/ teacher.
The school reserves the right to assign any instructor to any class.
Class administration policy
1. Students should be punctual for class.
2. The school reserves the right to allocate the student to another class time slot as determined by the Centre Manager/ Teacher, should the student be late for more than 15 minutes.
3. The Teacher will go through one worksheet each lesson, according to the student’s ability and ongoing performance.
4. Students are to adhere to the progression of worksheets as prescribed by the teacher and complete all worksheets as assigned.
5. Teacher reserves the right to withhold the provision of new worksheets until the currently assigned worksheets have been completed.
6. All students will progress gradually. Students will not progress to the next level/ worksheets should the Centre Manager/ Teacher finds the performance of the student unsatisfactory to the criteria and objectives in each Math Level.
7. The skipping of worksheets or levels to accelerate the progression of a student is strictly prohibited.
Child Protection
While in Little Scholar, Teacher has a certain “Duty of Care” for your child. For Child Protection purposes, we ask that parents follow the guidelines laid out below:
Children should leave Little Scholars after class punctually, accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Unless in the classroom, parents/ guardians/ caregivers should not leave children unsupervised in Little Scholars.
Only Little Scholars Teachers/ Staff and students are allowed in the classroom at all times.
Little Scholars is not responsible for the safety of children who leave the Learning Centres.

Conduct of Parents
I understand that my parental involvement is key to my child’s success in Little Scholars Math. As part of my important role, I agree to:
1. Enthusiastically establish and maintain a practice routine for my child, assist my child with homework and participate in practice time.
2. Frequently communicate with the Teacher about my child’s progress, and proactively seek her/ his assistance so we can work together to support my child’s learning.
3. Arrive for class at least 5 minutes before start time and wash my child’s hands before class.
4. Supervise my child at all times, ensure there is no food, drinks, running or rough play in the studio or waiting area(s).
5. Quietly remove my child from the lesson if his/her behaviour is disruptive and return when he/she is ready.
6. To be responsible for any damages caused to the Studio and equipment by my child. I will bear the costs incurred to repair the damages.
7. Notify the Studio of any absenteeism of my child and to pick up the required homework of next lesson.
Termination/ Suspension
1. Students who wish to terminate classes permanently must complete the term and fees for the term must be paid in full, in order to be entitled to the refund of deposit upon giving a 4-LESSON-WEEKS advance written notice to the school before the end of each term.
